Seether, Theory of a Deadman + 10 Years Set for Loudwire Live 2018
The 2018 Loudwire Live lineup, presented by Banana 101.5, features Seether and more
The lineup for Loudwire Live is out, and South African rock band Seether – known for hits such as “Fine Again,” “Broken,” “Country Song,” “Remedy” and “Rise Above This” – will headline the 2018 festivities. In addition to the Seether, the bill also features Theory of a Deadman and 10 Years, as well as some yet-to-be announced bands.
The festival, which is presented by Flint, Michigan, radio station Banana 101.5-FM, will return to the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center on Friday, Aug. 10. This is the fourth year for the annual festival.
Seether is on the road to promote their latest album, 2017’s “Poison the Perish.” The album sees a return to Seether’s heavier roots, and frontman Shaun Morgan tells Audio Ink, “We were on a label for many years that tried to push us into a more alternative and pop direction. We lost track of the music that we really loved playing, and we definitely really enjoy the rock… I think it’s fun to write the heavier stuff, because it’s just a lot more fun to play as a band. It’s the head-bopping, toe-tapping stuff that I like to play.”
Theory of a Deadman and 10 Years also have fresh releases out. For Theory of a Deadman, it’s 2017’s “Wake Up Call,” which features the rock hit “Rx (Medicate).” 10 Years’ newest collection is 2017’s “(How to Live) as Ghosts.”
Tickets for Loudwire Live will go on sale to the general public Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m. for $20, plus fees, via Ticketmaster. Those with the Banana 101.5 radio station’s mobile app can purchase tickets Friday, April 6, for a discounted rate of $15.
