Tool Band Members Announce Music Clinics and Q&As
Get up-close-and-personal with the members of Tool at a handful of North American music clinics
Tool is one of the most mysterious rock bands out there. Band members are often tight-lipped when it comes to details about the band’s new music and future plans, but the guys are going to let fans into the mystery – for a few nights, at least – with a short series of music clinics and Q&A sessions.
Tool guitarist Adam Jones, bass player Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey have announced a traveling series of intimate “music clinics,” which will have the band members discussing the writing and recording process of the band’s music. In addition to talking about the tunes, each event will also feature a Q&A session. Considering that Tool currently working on the band’s first new album in more than a decade, chances are the band will field plenty of questions about the new album. The Tool music clinics will also bring exclusive band merchandise and a traveling exhibit with “unique items from Tool’s history.”
The clinics will kick off with a May 11 event in St. Paul, Minnesota, and run through May 19 in Cleveland, Ohio. Singer Maynard James Keenan isn’t expected to be part of this series, since he will be on tour with A Perfect Circle during that period.
Tickets to all of the events will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time Friday (April 13). Members of the Tool Army fan club will be able to purchase a select amount of pre-sale tickets starting Wednesday (April) 11 at ToolBand.com.
