Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons says he’s now living ‘pain free’ after winning the fight against AS

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds is opening up about his battle with a chronic inflammatory condition called AS. In 2016, Reynolds announced that he had been living with AS since he was 21 years old, and now, at 30 years old, he has announced that he has defeated the disease.

“I’ve spent a decade fighting an auto immune disease that inflamed my joints,” Reynolds tweeted last weekend. “I now live pain free, am in full remission & am the healthiest I’ve ever been.”

The fight hasn’t been easy. To battle AS, Reynolds says he had to follow “correct diet, vitamins and exercise,” plus work with trainer Brad Feinberg. Reynolds also posted a before-and-after photo showing how he looks now that he’s in better shape.

“Sorry for the corny exercise posts but when you live in pain for a decade and someone fixes your body it’s nothing short of a miracle,” Reynolds stated in the posts.

It’s a good thing Reynolds is in great health, since the guys of Imagine Dragons are as busy as ever. The band is currently on a North American tour in support of their latest album, the chart-topping “Evolve.” Reynolds also just premiered his own documentary, titled “Believer,” on HBO. Keep up with Imagine Dragons at the band’s official website.
