It’s official: Five Finger Death Punch is in the studio, working on a new album

The guys of Five Finger Death Punch are back in the studio, working on new tunes for what will be their eighth studio album.

The Las Vegas hard rock band revealed via Twitter that they officially started their first day of recording the new record. The band had a little fun with the tweet, too. The tweet features a video with singer Ivan Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory and longtime Five Finger Death Punch producer Kevin Churko working together with a funny caption.

“What kind of record should we make?” the caption states. “Acoustic Death Metal…Polka Djent Fusion..Doom Funk Dubstep?” We have feeling Five Finger Death Punch isn’t really going polka anytime soon.

The short clip of new music included in the video sounds like classic Five Finger Death Punch, with heavy guitars and a metal and hard rock style.

The upcoming release will mark Five Finger Death Punch’s follow up to 2018’s “And Justice for None,” which includes the hit rock singles “Sham Pain,” “When the Seasons Change” and a cover of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd song “Blue on Black.”

In other news, Five Finger Death Punch will perform a handful of North American tour dates this summer with In This Moment. Find tour dates here.
