Steel Panther to Perform ‘Rockdown in the Lockdown’ Virtual Concert
Steel Panther have announced their second virtual concert, “Rockdown in the Lockdown,” benefiting a local Los Angeles Animal Rescue and Live Nation’s Crew Nation
Steel Panther performed their first virtual concert back in June, dubbed “The Concert to Save the World,” featuring the band performing live from an undisclosed location in Los Angeles, as fans across the world watched an interacted with the show online.
Now, the band has announced another virtual concert event, “Rockdown in the Lockdown,” which is set for Sunday, Aug. 16, from the “ultra-sanitized, production-filled, multi-camera” Drum Channel Studio at Drum Workshop located in Oxnard, California, according to a statement. The concert will air live at 5 p.m. EST., and viewers will be invited to watch all over the world.
“Rockdown in the Lockdown” will be a different kind of performance for Steel Panther, as the band has filmed a collection of sketch comedy pieces that will be played throughout the show. Steel Panther will still perform live throughout the event and interact with fans via a live chat.
Tickets for the virtual show run $15 each, and proceeds from each ticket sold will benefit a local Los Angeles animal rescue and Live Nation’s Crew Nation Fund, which helps touring personnel impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Those who purchase a ticket to the show will also gain access to Steel Panther’s Rockbuster Video Store to stream exclusive content for a period of time. Additionally, anyone who has purchased Steel Panther’s latest effect pedal before the concert will get a free ticket to the event. VIP tickets are also available with a virtual one-on-one meet and greet, private video chat with two band members and a screen shot selfie.
