Slipknot Postpones Knotfest at Sea ‘for the Foreseeable Future’

Slipknot has postponed their Knotfest at Sea event “for the foreseeable future” with hopes of the event returning “when the timing is right”

Slipknot already postponed their Knotfest at Sea concert cruise once, due to coronavirus (COVID-19), but now, the masked metal band has postponed the event again, this time “for the foreseeable future.”

The debut event, dubbed “a voyage that will awaken your darkest senses,” was originally booked to set sail from Barcelona this August but was postponed to 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Corey Taylor and company are scrapping the event altogether with hopes that it will return “when the timing is right.”

“We previously shared that Knotfest at Sea would be postponed from August 2020 to August 2021,” Slipknot wrote in a statement. “Due to unforeseen scheduling factors since then, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Knotfest at Sea for the foreseeable future.”

Those who already purchased tickets to Knotfest at Sea will be issued a full refund.

“As we consider future plans for the event, guests who were booked on the 2020 festival and guests who are on our mailing list will be the first to know the details,” the band added. “We look forward to when we can all unite together when the timing is right.”
