Judas Priest Headlining and Selecting the Performers for 2021 Warlando Festival
Judas Priest are headlining and curating the full lineup for the 2021 Warlando Festival in Orlando, Florida
Judas Priest have signed up to headline the new Warlando Festival in Orlando, Florida, and the legendary metal band will also curate the lineup. The festival is scheduled for Sept. 11, 2021, at the Orlando Amphitheater in Florida.
Rob Halford and company announced the news via Facebook, along with the event’s official poster, which spells out the initial lineup of Judas Priest, Sabaton, Lacuna Coil, Soulfly, Mushroomhead and Uncured.
Judas Priest were scheduled to co-headline the Rebel Rock Festival with Limp Bizkit this fall in Orlando, but that festival has been moved into 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Rebel Rock is scheduled for Sept. 24 to 26, 2021, and while the bill doesn’t have Judas Priest anymore, it still features Limp Bizkit, Five Finger Death Punch and more.
The Warlando Festival is part of Judas Priest’s 50th anniversary celebration, which was supposed to take place this year with various festival and tour dates. “Judas Priest is laying out their battlefield at the Orlando Amphitheater for their BIGGEST 50th Heavy Metal Anniversary performance in the United States,” the Warlando Festival’s website states.
Also part of the band’s 50th anniversary tour is the release of a 600-plus page coffee book, called “Judas Priest: 50 Heavy Metal Years,” out via Rufus Publications.
On the subject of books, frontman Rob Halford is gearing up to release his first-ever autobiography, “Confess,” on Sept. 29. Halford says the book gave him “unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to expose every facet of myself,” in a statement.
