The Smashing Pumpkins are inching closer to the release of their new album, “CYR,” and Billy Corgan and company have released a new song and music video off the set, “Wyttch.” Watch the Halloween-appropriate clip via YouTube below.

“Wyttch” showcases what seems to be a haunted ball filled with creepy guests, and the video even offers appearances from Corgan’s two children, Augustus and Philomena. “Samhain, samhain / Thru this harvest, tred nigh / All hallow’s eve,” Corgan sings in the song’s mystical introduction.

“CYR” features 20 songs produced by Corgan and recorded in Chicago. The album also features founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

“CYR,” which marks Smashing Pumpkins’ 11th studio album, is due out Nov. 27. The album marks the Chicago-based alternative rock band’s follow-up to 2018’s “Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.”

In other news, in honor of the 25th year anniversary of the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album,” the Pumpkins are prepping a 33-track sequel to the seminal record. They also recently teased a “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” world arena tour announcement, which is expected to come in 2021.
