Metallica Raise $1.3 Million for Charity with Acoustic Benefit Stream

Metallica’s recent acoustic benefit stream raised more than $1.3 million for the band’s All Within My Hands non-profit organization

Earlier this month, Metallica performed a special acoustic stream to benefit their All Within My Hands charity foundation. In total, the show raised a whopping $1.3 million for the cause.

The funds raised will benefit Feeding America and the American Association of Community Colleges, plus will support ongoing (coronavirus) COVID-19 and disaster relief efforts.

“We’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to all of you & our generous sponsors, #HelpingHands2020 has raised over $1.3 million!” the band tweeted to fans.

The show marked Metallica’s second All Within My Hands acoustic concert. The first show took place in 2018 and also raised roughly $1.3 million.

Those who missed the earlier stream are still able to watch the show on demand via Nugs.tv. Ticket packages will be available to purchase until 11:59 p.m. PST on Giving Tuesday (Dec. 1). As always, 100% of proceeds from the years Helping Hands tickets, fees and auction items will go directly to help those in need, with Metallica and the foundation taking care of all production costs and expenses.

Metallica’s All Within My Hands organization, according to their mission statement, is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger and other critical local services.
