Rob Zombie, Slipknot and Mudvayne are slated to headline the 2021 Inkcarceration Festival

While 2020 was a year without many, if any, major music festival or tours, 2021 is poised to end on a brighter musical note. The folks behind the 2021 Inkcarceration Festival have announced their full lineup, and the roster features headlining sets from Slipknot, Rob Zombie and the newly reunited Mudvayne.

The Inkcarceration Festival bill features Mastodon, A Day To Remember, Halestorm, Chevelle, Killswitch Engage, Beartooth, Motionless In White, Steel Panther, Asking Alexandria, FEVER 333, The Hu and Pop Evil and more.

“After 20+ years on the road, it’s always wonderful to experience new things,” Slipknot percussionist Clown said in a statement. He added that he and Slipknot “are excited to be a part of Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. It will be great to get back out there and be with our family again. Stay safe and see you soon.”

Tattoos are a big part of the event. As with previous years, expect an array of tattoo parlors on site to tattoo fans while watching the live music. “Tattoos are such a central part of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle — something that fans are always talking about on our own socials — and it’s such a unique location,” promoter Danny Wimmer stated.

Inkcarceration Festival is one of four Danny Wimmer Presents festivals that Mudvayne will perform at this year, as it was recently announced that the nu-metal band will reunite. The other festivals include Louder than Life, Aftershock and Welcome to Rockville, all happening towards the end of 2021.

Inkcarceration 2021 takes place September 10 through 12 at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, which is the same location where the movie “The Shawshank Redemption” was filmed. For more information and the full roster, head to Inkcarceration.com.
