Sevendust Announce Last U.S. Leg of ‘Animosity’ Tour

Sevendust, Nonpoint, Bastardane and Burden of the Sky will hit the road this fall for a tour

Metal mainstays Sevendust have announced the last leg of their “Animosity Tour.” The tour is in celebration of the 21st anniversary of the band’s breakout album, 2001’s “Animosity,” and sees the group performing the album in its entirety.

The final leg of the tour will begin Sept. 9 in Danville, Virginia, and close out with an Oct. 1 show in New Orleans, Louisiana. Opening on the trek are Nonpoint, Bastardane (the group featuring Metallica frontman James Hetfield’s son Castor on drums) and Burden of the Sky. Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale Friday (July 8) at 10:00 a.m. local venue time via Ticketmaster. View the full roster of tour dates below.

Sevendust planned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Animosity” with a tour in 2020, but that trek got delayed several times due to the pandemic. “Animosity” arrive on Nov. 13, 2001, and reached No. 28 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was also certified gold.

Sevendust guitarist John Connolly recently told Audio Ink Radio of the band’s upcoming album, “We’re just writing. We’re in demo mode right now. We’re going to hit the studio in the summer. We’re working up as many new demos as we can. We’ve started working with (lead vocalist) LJ (to) get the vocal process going. But, yeah, probably July, August hit the studio, and then I think we’re going to do more ‘Animosity’ in the fall. There’s been such a demand for it. I think we’re going to do a third run in September.”
