Korn and Amy Lee of Evanescence Perform ‘Freak on a Leash’ on Joint Tour
Watch Korn and Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee perform “Freak on a Leash”
Korn and Evanescence performed the first night of their joint tour Tuesday evening (Aug. 16) in Denver, Colorado, and they’ve been on the road ever since. That opening night – and subsequent performances – have brought a duel performance in which Amy Lee joined Korn for “Freak on a Leash.” This isn’t a huge surprise, as the two acts toured together in the 2000s and also performed together on stage during those tours.
Fan-shot footage of the performance can be seen viewed below, featuring Jonathan Davis and Lee harmonizing on the song’s famous chorus. There’s some colorful language, so make not before you start listening to the video at work.
Korn and Evanescence will be on the road together throughout August and into mid-September. At the time the tour was announced in April, Lee commented of the trek, “I fell hard into Korn’s music in high school. It was an inspiration during the formation of my own band. The chances we’ve had to play together over the years are special, a part of our history. They remain one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. It’s an honor and a thrill to go out with our friends again, our first full tour together since ’07. We’re all really looking forward to this.”
Davis added in his own statement regarding Korn and Evanescence teaming up, stating, “Whenever Amy [Lee] comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage watching the whole set and rocking out. We’re gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can’t wait to see you there.”
Korn and Evanescence will stay on the road through a Sept. 16 concert in Ridgefield, Washington. Find the full roster of Korn and Evanescence tour dates here.
