Coachella will feature a performance from the reunited Blink-182

One of the biggest reunion stories of the past year is the announcement that Blink-182 would be getting back together with guitarist-vocalist Tom DeLonge and embarking on a major tour. It was bound to happen. As soon as DeLonge parted ways with the band, the rumors started about when and how he would reunite.

Now, on top of Blink-182’s massive North American arena tour this year, the band will also make an appearance at Coachella 2023. In fact, the show will mark their first time back together as a band onstage.

Blink-182’s tour will kick off this year and keep the guys on the road, touring the world, through 2024. Their Coachella performance will mark the very beginning of the run.

As for how the guys broke the news, DeLonge tweeted the tidbit out on Thursday (April 13), stating, “See you at Coachella on Friday 6:30pm Sahara Tent.” His tweet came with a photo from Blink-182’s concert rehearsals. The photo also faetures the band’s lyrics from the song “Family Reunion.” Coachella also tweeted out an updated list of performers and set times, stating, “Take off your pants and jacket.”

In other news, last month, Blink-182 announced that drummer Travis Barker was suffering an injury, which made them delay the kick off of their tour. Following that announcement, the South America and Mexico dates were canceled. View all of the band’s upcoming tour dates via their official website.

Blink-182 are one of the forefathers of punk-pop, along with bands such as Green Day and Sum-41. The band’s biggest hits came in the late 1990s and 2000s, including “All the Small Things,” “The Rock Show,” “Adam’s Song,” “First Date,” “I Miss You” and more. The band’s latest studio album, “Nine,” arrived in 2019, before DeLonge reunited with the group.
