Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and and TV personality Kourtney Kardashian are making their relationship permanent
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian are officially engaged. The couple, who are longtime friends and started dating about nine months ago, are getting ready to make their relationship permanent, after the Blink-182 drummer proposed to the reality TV star in Montecito, Calif., amid a picturesque, romantic scene.
Barker asked Kardashian to marry him at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. He went all out for the display, setting up a beautiful display of red roses and white candles on the beach. For the proposal, Barker, 45, sported a black and white striped shirt and black pants, and Kardashian, 42, wore a dressy black outfit.
Kardashian took to Instagram to confirm the proposal, posting photos of her huge ring and the caption “forever.” She tagged Barker, who re-posted the photo on his Instagram Story.
Barker’s 15-year-old daughter, Alabama, also took to Instagram to share photos of the engagement. “So happy for you guys,” she wrote on Instagram. “I love u both ! @kourtneykardash @travisbarker.”
Barker and Kardashian have been public about their romance for months, including going to red carpet events together. Kardashian and Barker have even appeared together at various music awards shows together, such as the 2021 MTV Music Video Awards.
This will be the first time Kardashian has been married, although she was in a long-term relationship with Scott Disick for years. She and Disick have three children together: Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6.
This will be Barker’s third marriage, as he was married to Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002 and Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008. He and Moakler have two children together: Landon, 18, and Alabama, 15. Barker also has a former stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 22, who was Moakler’s daughter from a previous marriage.
