Classic Rock Favorite Announces 2025 Las Vegas Residency
Doing a Las Vegas residency has become a rite of passage of sorts for many classic names in music, no matter the genre. While Las Vegas used to be known for only gambling, today, you don’t even have to roll the dice to enjoy fantastic live entertainment on the strip, especially live music.
Now, one classic rock favorite has announced a 2025 Las Vegas residency running for a handful of dates this spring.
Sammy Hagar has announced a 2025 Las Vegas residency with his “Best of All Worlds” all-star band, which also brings together guitarist Joe Satriani, bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Kenny Aronoff. The residency will take place from April 30th through May 17th and feature nine shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Those dates include April 30th, May 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th and 17th.
The residency is tied to Hagar’s “Best of All Worlds” summer tour, so fans can expect a set list that brings together classics from his days in Van Halen, affectionately called the “Van Hagar” era, plus his own solo career and bands such as Montrose and Chickenfoot. The run will feature Anthony on bass and Satriani on guitar, as well as Aronoff playing drums, replacing the tour’s original drummer, Jason Bonham, the song of John Bonham.
Hagar says he’s stoked to bring his “Best of All Worlds” to Las Vegas and says he believes the sound and production will be top rate.
“I’m so looking forward to this residency and being able to stay in one place so we can get the sound and production completely dialed in,” Hagar said in a statement “It also allows the band to experiment with the setlist every night – that’s why it’s going to be exclusive to Las Vegas. Instead of traveling all day on tour when there’s no time to rehearse and make changes. I plan on digging deeper into the Van Halen catalog, and my solo career, Montrose and Chickenfoot, as well. The fans are in for a lot of surprises.”
By surprises, does that mean some Van Halen songs that don’t usually make the cut for the set list? Fans will have to wait and see. But, Hagar certainly makes it sound like the set list will be different from what he played on tour this past year.
In honor of the announcement, Hagar and Anthony will perform during the halftime show of the Las Vegas Raiders game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 24th, at Allegiant Stadium. The set will feature a tribute to U.S. military personnel, according to a statement from Hagar, offering “a special surprise to honor their bravery and service.”
Hagar joins a long list of musicians set to rock Vegas in 2025, including Motley Crue. The glam-rock icons will perform 11 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM in March and April. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales from the Crue run will be donated to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, “a Las Vegas-based organization that provides the thousands of young people experiencing homelessness in Southern Nevada with wraparound support to help youth move into stable housing, grow, and flourish.”
