Radiohead take Oklahoma indie rockers Other Lives along for U.S. tour

Radiohead have teased fans for weeks now about an impending U.S. tour– their first full-scale trek in North America since 2008’s In Rainbows. Now, the dates are here, and the alternative rock group will set off the tour in Miami on Feb. 27, roughly one year after the issue of their latest album, The King of Limbs. Thus far, venues are mainly sports arenas. Oklahoma indie rock outfit Other Lives are the lucky openers for this selection of gigs. Find a complete list of tour dates, below.

Radiohead singer Thom Yorke recently told Rolling Stone that a tour was inevitable, and that the gents are even working on some new tracks. “It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much,” he said, adding that one song, called “Come to Your Senses,” is already almost complete. “We have this version of it. It’s a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need,” he said. “There are a few of those. It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year.” As if Radiohead weren’t enough to keep Mr. Yorke occupied, he’s also working on a new record with Atoms for Peace, which features Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and bass player Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
