Billy Corgan is the king of getting awesome female bass player to back the Smashing Pumpkins, and word is that his latest pick, former Veruca Salt and Spinnerette bassist Nicole Fiorentino, is actually one of the two girls on the cover of, “Siamese Dream,” the band’s 1993 release. Psychedelicic rock band Queens of the Stone Age reissues its 1998 self-titled debut on March 1 via frontman Josh Homme’s own Rekords Rekords. Oh, baby. Lollapalooza celetrates its 20th birthday this year (much like Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews, to boot), and they’re doing it in style. While the full line-up drops in April, The Chicago Tribune‘s Greg Kot reports the music festival has already booked headliners Eminem, Foo Fighters, Muse, Best Coast, Girl Talk, Lykke Li and Crystal Castles, the latter who has collaborated with Robert Smith of The Cure.
