The band took to their official website to make the announce, adding that longtime producer Rick Rubin (AC/DC, Weezer, Rage Against the Machine) will produce the disc.

The Peppers went onto post the update on Facebook, and the comments say it all. “Rick Rubin is the master.” “It’s about time!” “I have been waiting, but the wait will come to an end!”
