U2 Charity Work: Five U2 Charities and How to Get Involved
360º Tour rekindles interest in U2’s philanthropy work
Even as U2 is all-consumed by their current 360º Tour — the highest grossing tour of all time, according to Billboard, at over 7 million fans strong — they still make time to give to the greater good.
There’s little doubt U2 have given hoards of time and support to charity organizations in the form of benefit concerts, children’s programs and more.
Want to get involved? Here’s U2’s current charity work, including links to support the causes:
- (PRODUCT)RED: The Global Fund to invest in HIV/AIDS programs
- ONE: Extreme poverty and global disease
- Amnesty International: Human rights worldwide
- Greenpeace: Global warming, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling and anti-nuclear issues
- The Chernobyl Children’s Project International: Restoring hope, alleviate suffering and protect current and future generations in the Chernobyl regions
To find more information on these organizations, visit U2’s official website.
