August Burns Red release official app for iTunes and Android

Lancaster, Penn., metal guys August Burns Red are flying high on the release of their new album, Leveler, and they have a crushing, hefty single in, “Internal Cannon.” Leveler, out on Solid State Records, debuted No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart in June, selling roughly 29,000 units. That’s no doubt an accomplishment for a hard-working group who have worked from the ground up.

Now, August Burns Red have released an official band app for iTunes and Android. The August Burns Red App provides all the latest news, tour dates, photos, video, music and more right on their mobile phones. Fans may download the iTunes App via the iTunes store and the Android App from the Android market.

On their fourth album, Leveler, August Burns Red have taken their metal-core to the next level of heavy with new, darker textures, while still incorporating optimistic, hopeful passages. The juxtapose of light and dark makes Leveler a unique album, and one with depth. “Empire” is an early stand-out, with bright tones, matched with heavy grains. Leveler is an album that’s easy and enjoyable to listen to over and over, and one that has the listener headbanging in a way they never have before.
