Alter Bridge fans come on strong with presales for band’s upcoming live set

Alter Bridge’s upcoming live CD/DVD, “Live at Wembley,” is on target to be mammoth for the rock gents. Preorders for the collection are currently No. 2 in the Top 100 on the Blu Ray Music Videos and Concerts chart at Amazon.com, only below singer Adele. For a full week, “Live at Wembley,” which arrives on March 26, has stayed in the Top 10 of “Amazon Bestsellers” in the Blu Ray Music Videos and Concerts chart.

Song-wise, “Live at Wembley” is set to bring the entire catalog of Alter Bridge’s three studio albums, including rock radio hits “Isolation,” “Ghosts of Days Gone By,” “Wonderful Life,” “Broken Wings,” “Rise Today” and more. The guys filmed the show last November at the historic Wembley Arena.

Alter Bridge and Creed lead guitarist Mark Tremonti says playing Wembley was mad-fun from the get-go. “When the tour was booked, we saw that there were a few arenas, Wembley being one of them,” he said. “We were excited and nervous, wondering if the tickets would sell. They did, and we were blown away. The first four or five songs of any set are usually pretty nerve-wracking. Those are the tunes where we’re finding our footing and trying to get comfortable. But Wembley was different. Even with all of the cameras and the fact that we were filming and we couldn’t make any mistakes, it was fun right from the start.”

Longstanding director Daniel E. Catullo III — who has worked with Rush, Smashing Pumpkins and Nickelback) — oversaw the project, which featured 16 cameras capturing the hard rock gents playing in front of over 10,000 English fans. Check out a sneak peek of what to expect from the DVD on Alter Bridge’s artist page.
