Chicago alt-country group Wilco release their first-ever iBook

Wilco fans have a fresh iBook to add to their Wilco paraphernalia. The alt-country gentlemen just released their debut iBook, titled “The Incredible Shrinking Tour of Chicago,” offering exclusive photos, poster art, never-before-seen footage, set lists and more goodies from the group’s mini tour last December at five different theaters in their hometown of Chicago. Wilco are obviously a band that loves to play live, and this iBook showcases that burning desire to jam out into the wee hours of the morning.

The iBook also packs two exclusive videos: an exclusive backstage clip of Wilco performing the Band’s “The Weight” with soul crooner Mavis Staples and British New Wave artist Nick Lowe, plus a behind-the-scenes video of frontman Jeff Tweedy playing his 2010 solo track, “You Are Not Alone.”

The iBook is currently available for free through Apple’s iBookstore. Check out Wilco’s special trailer below to learn more about “The Incredible Shrinking Tour of Chicago.”

In other Wilco news, the band recently contributed the track “Airline to Heaven” to the soundtrack for Cameron Crowe’s film, “We Bought a Zoo.” Tom Petty, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, the Upsetters and Bon Iver are among the other artists featured on the soundtrack.
