Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus has revealed the band will release a new EP on Dec. 18

Last week, Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge tweeted out the news that the group is planning to release new music soon, exclaiming, “New Blink EP for x mas… : )” Now, it’s official that new Blink-182 music will be here before Christmas. Now, in an email to MTV News, bass player Mark Hoppus announced that the band’s rumored upcoming release will arrive on Dec. 18. It’s not a full-length, but it’s something to hold fans over until the new Blink-182 studio album is out. It’s also the newest piece of Blink-182 material since 2011’s “Neighborhoods.”

“We’re very excited about getting these songs out before Christmas,” Hoppus wrote about the upcoming collection, adding that the track list is still up in the air. “We’re not sure how many songs will make the final EP…hopefully all five, but we’ll make the final determination when the mixes are complete.”

In addition to the regular EPs, Hoppus added that the guys will offer limited-edition gift packages featuring “a special screened, museum-quality poster, limited-edition T-shirts and sweatshirts, wrapping paper, holiday cards and whatnot.” Look for pre-orders for the release to be available via Blink-182’s official website within the week, says Hoppus.
