Chevelle are back. The Chicago-based modern rock trio has released a new single, “Take Out the Gunman,” and announced details on a new album called “La Gargola,” which will arrive on April 1. The single is currently for sale on iTunes.

“La Gargola” — which in Spanish means “The Gargoyle” — will mark Chevelle’s seventh studio album. The band previous release, “Hats Off to the Bull,” dropped in 2011 and reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. “Face to the Floor,” the lead single off the release, peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Rock Songs chart. For “La Gargola,” the band got back together with producer Joe Barresi, who also produced “Hats Off to the Bull,” and traveled to Pasadena, Calif., to record the new songs.

The band promises that a tour is up ahead, too, and the guys plan to announce a collection of U.S. tour dates on Feb. 10. Chevelle are already scheduled to perform at the Rock on The Range in and Welcome to Rockville festivals this spring.

In other news, the band recently launched a new website. Find it at www.GetMoreChevelle.com.
