Dave Grohl Spotted at a Michaels Craft Store
A big thank you to Reddit for unleashing this little gem of Dave Grohl news onto the world. Right around Christmastime, the Foo Fighters frontman was spotted at a local Michaels Craft Store, and he was kind enough to pose for a photo with a fan at the retail shop. The photo has made its way onto Reddit, and it’s funny to see Grohl, who is such a rock star at this point, shopping like a regular dude getting ready for the holidays at a crafts store. Maybe he can’t resist those weekly Michaels coupons, just like the rest of us?
What’s extra funny, and clever, are all of the Reddit comments on the photo’s thread. “There goes my hero. Watch him as he sews,” comments rahbee33. “He may be rich, but not so rich that he scoffs at the insane coupon deals at Michael’s,” says Combaticus19855. Check out the full discussion thread via Reddit.
In other news, Foo Fighters will ring in 2018 with a special New Year’s Eve gig on Dec. 31, 2017, at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Additional 2018 plans for the gang include headlining Germany’s 2018 Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals, set to take place concurrently June 1 to 3, and performing a slew of headlining shows across North America throughout the year.
Grohl and company recently served as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” and performed a Christmas-appropriate medley bringing together the Foos classic “Everlong” and holiday classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It’s sure to be a longtime Christmas favorite. Watch the fun-filled performance here.
