P.O.D., Payable on Death, Release New Song: ‘On Fire’
First Listen: P.O.D.’s ‘On Fire’
Inspirational rap-rockers P.O.D. are back, in a big way.
The San Diego reggae boys behind “Alive” and “Youth of the Nation” have their original line-up in toe, and they’re releasing a new album and appearing on the 2011 Rock Allegiance Tour with Papa Roach, Buckcherry, P.O.D., RED, Puddle of Mudd, Crossfade and Drive A this fall.
While fans are likely pumped to see P.O.D. onstage again, what they’re really craving is new music. Today (July 25), P.O.D. have released a brand new track, “On Fire,” via RockAllegiance.com and EpicenterFestival.com. To download, simply head to those sites and enter your email address where noted. The anthemic track sounds like classic P.O.D., very reminiscent of “Boom” with punk energy and empowering rap-rock vocals.
As for the new album, P.O.D. continue to work with producer Howard Benson (Daughtry, Seether) on it, and the album is slated for a spring 2012 release.
