Maylene and the Sons of Disaster ‘Life on the Road’ Video
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster release tour diary
Ever wondered what it would be like to cram backstage with the guys of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster? You get a glimpse of that in the band’s “Life on the Road” tour videos, which they’re rolling out one at a time as they tour the states. Watch the latest video in the series, here.
Filmed during a tour stop in Nashville, “Maylene Life on the Road 4” features live performance footage of the Southern metal-core group onstage mixed with candid shots of the guys hanging out before the show, eating “literally the hottest” chicken imaginable at Prince’s Hot Chicken, comparing shoes and plain messing around before it’s time to get serious. Watching the video, it looks darn fun to be on tour with Maylene.
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster — which includes Taylor, Chad Huff (guitar), Jake Duncan (guitar and vocals) and Brad Lehmann (bass) — are no strangers to the touring circuit. The band just got off tour with Clutch and Protest the Hero, and they’re currently on a 30-city U.S. tour through Sept. 3. The current jaunt features date with 10 Years and The Damned Things.
The guys are also on point to issue their new studio album, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster: IV, on Sept. 27. The LP, produced by Brian Virtue (Jane’s Addiction, Audioslave), is prepped to brings Maylene’s trademark blues-based musical bed, accented by Dallas Taylor’s passionate, scream-o vocals and a hardcore attack.
