Linkin Park and Tenacious D to Play the Video Game Awards
This year’s Video Game Awards will feature performances from Linkin Park and Tenacious D
Linkin Park and Tenacious D will share the stage at the upcoming Video Game Awards, producers have confirmed via an official release. Linkin Park will rock their single “Castle of Glass” during the show, which is appropriate, since the track is up for Best Song in a Game for “Medal of Honor: Warfighter.” As for Tenacious D, this will mark the Jack Black-fronted comedy rock group’s second time playing the Video Game Awards. They’ll perform the title track from their newest full-length release, “Rize of the Fenix.”
The Video Game Awards will air live on Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on the Spike network, and actor Samuel L. Jackson will host the festivities. Those who would rather watch all the action on their laptops will be able to stream the full show via the official Spike and Game Trailers websites.
In other Linkin Park news, congratulations are in order, as the alternative rap-rock group took home the Best Alternative Band award at the 40th annual American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 18). Linkin Park beat out tough competition from the likes of the Black Keys and Gotye to score the win. Well done, boys.
