MGMT Announce Fall 2013 Tour
MGMT will hit the road this November in support of their self-titled album
MGMT fans have been waiting for news of a new tour, and now, they’ve got it. The indie pop band has announced that they’ll head out on a North American jaunt this November in support of their newly-released self-titled album.
The group will kick off the tour on Nov. 12 in St. Louis, Mo., and travel through Chicago, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia and beyond before wrapping up the tour Dec. 13 in Brooklyn, N.Y. For more specifics on the tour and to purchase tickets, visit the band’s official website.
Aside from the touring announcement, MGMT are making headlines with week with a new music video for their tune “Cool Song No. 2,” the second single from their new album. The video, which is up on the band’s YouTube page, stars Boardwalk Empire actor Michael Kenneth Williams in the wacky role of a chemist who uses his power to secure some plants he needs to help the love of his life, who is gradually mutating into a tree. Would you expect anything less from MGMT? We didn’t think so.
