Dot Hacker, the side project of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Josh Klinghoffer, are prepping to release their sophomore album

“How’s Your Process? (Work),” the new album from Red Hot Chili Peppers side project Dot Hacker, will arrive on Tuesday (July 1). While many Peppers fans haven’t even heard of Dot Hacker, the group has actually been around for a while and released its debut album, “Inhibition,” in 2012.

Dot Hacker features Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, keyboardist and guitarist Clint Walsh, drummer Eric Gardner and bass player Jonathan Hirschke. All of the band members, excluding Hirschke, performed in Gnarls Barkley’s touring band, and Hirschke once played bass in Hella, adding extra star power.

“We recorded a lot of songs over the last year with the intention of making a single full length album (and) never actually expected that all of them would make the final sequence,” Dot Hacker keyboardist and guitarist Clint Walsh told Billboard. “However, we quickly realized there was nothing we felt should be left off.”

“How’s Your Process? (Work)” is the first part of a dual-CD collection, the second which will be called “How’s Your Process? (Play)” and will arrive on Oct. 7.  Three songs from “How’s Your Process? (Work)” are currently streaming via ORG Music’s Soundcloud page.
