Def Leppard Announce 2015 U.S. Tour Dates
Def Leppard will take their ‘80s rock across the U.S. this summer
Def Leppard already announced a Canadian tour for this year, and now, it’s official: The guys are also hitting the U.S. The ‘80s rockers have announced a lengthy U.S. tour set for this summer, with Styx and Tesla kicking off the shows. The tour will set off June 23 in Tampa, Fla., and continue for nearly four months, through an Oct. 4 gig in Bismarck, N.D.
In total, Def Leppard and company will perform in almost 50 cities. The tour also sandwiches in one Canadian stop July 14 in Toronto.
Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott is stoked to go out on the road with Styx and Tesla.
“Styx is a great bunch of guys and as American as mom’s apple pie all the way through,” he told Billboard.com. “And we had Tesla on board when we did the Hysteria tour back in ’87; they were out for at least six or seven months with us before they went off to do their own thing. So it’ll be a great time on stage and backstage, I think.”
Tickets for most shows will go on sale to the public starting at 10 a.m. local time Feb. 20 via live Nation. For more information about concerts and how to purchase tickets, visit Def Leppard’s official website.
