Chris Cornell to Release New Solo Album This Fall
Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell has a new solo album on the way, plus overseas tour dates
Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has been laboring over a new solo album, and it’s almost ready. Cornell has announced his latest solo concoction, “Higher Truth,” will reach stores in September. The set follows Cornell’s previous solo releases, 2011’s all-acoustic live “Songbook” and 2009’s “Scream.”
Cornell will tour on the new release, too. He’ll embark on a solo acoustic tour through Australia and New Zealand this fall, which will have Cornell “performing songs spanning his entire career, as well as new songs from his forthcoming studio album Higher Truth in an unplugged, up close and personal setting,” according to his official website.
The Australia and New Zealand tour will begin Nov. 20 and settle down Dec. 12. Tickets for the tour will go on sale June 1. For more information on the run, visit Cornell’s official website.
