Jack White’s Third Man Records is releasing the White Stripes’ ‘Peel Sessions’ in April

After years in the vault, the White Stripes’ “Peel Sessions” will officially be available in April. The 2001 recording will arrive with BBC DJ John Peel as a double LP via Jack White’s Third Man Records on Record Store Day.

The exclusive Record Store Day release of “Peel Sessions” will be pressed on one red and one white vinyl disc. That LP will be available in record shops participating in Record Store Day 2016 incentives. A standard version of the album will arrive later this year as a black vinyl edition.

Also on Record Store Day, Third Man Records will release a limited edition vinyl single of Jack White’s cover of Stevie Wonder’s “You Are the Sunshine of my Life.” White rocked the Wonder classic when he performed on the season finale of ABC’s “The Muppets.” That release, which will arrive on an “It’s Not Easy Being Green” colored vinyl, will be available exclusively via the Third Man Records stores in Nashville and Detroit.

Record Store Day will take place on April 16.
