Dave Grohl and Dave Navarro Appear on Nine Inch Nails’ New EP
Some big-named guests appear on the new Nine Inch Nails EP
Nine Inch Nails has a new EP out today, and as it turns out, the new collection has some big-named guests. The EP, named “Not the Actual Events,” includes guest appearances from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro.
As stated in the liner notes for “Not the Actual Events,” posted by Consequence of Sound, Grohl appears on the track “The Idea of You,” and Navarro performs on the song “Burning Bright (Field on Fire).” This isn’t their first collaboration with Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor, though. Grohl performed drums on Nine Inch Nails’ 2005 album “With Teeth,” and Navarro helped out with the Nine Inch Nails 1995 remix set, “Further Down the Spiral.”
Another guest on the new EP is Reznor’s wife, Mariqueen Maandig. Reznor oversaw pretty much everything on the new EP, including writing and recording each track on the set with his movie-scoring collaborator Atticus Ross, who is now a member of Nine Inch Nails.
Nine Inch Nails’ “Not the Actual Events” arrived Friday (Dec. 23) and is available digitally.
