Evanescence has an album on the way featuring re-envisioned versions of some of their most popular older songs, called “Synthesis.” In addition to the older tracks, the band has two new tracks arriving on the release.
Now, Amy Lee and company have released the music video for their new track “Imperfection” off the record.
The music video has a longer musical introduction than the album track and depicts Lee singing the song and a young girl finding her way through a kaleidoscopic scene.
The video debuted via NME.com and is currently streaming on YouTube. Watch the video below.
“Synthesis” takes earlier Evanescence songs and re-imagines songs from the band’s full catalog using electronics and a full orchestra. “Imperfection” is the first of two new songs on the album to be released, the other song being “Hi-Lo.”
“Imperfection” debuted in September, and Lee described it as the “most important song” on the album.
“We are all imperfect, and it’s precisely those imperfections that make us who we are, and we have to embrace them because there’s so much beauty in those differences,” she said. “Life is worth fighting for. You are worth fighting for.”
In other news, Lee and the Evanescence gang are currently on a tour throughout North America to promote “Synthesis.” The full album will hit stores on Nov. 10.
