Weezer to Appear on ‘The Simpsons’ This Weekend
Weezer will lend their voices to “The Simpsons” this weekend, portraying the house band on a cruise taken by Homer and Marge
With tours on hold for the foreseeable future, bands are having to get creative and find new ways to get out there. The guys of Weezer are set to appear in Springfield this weekend– virtually, of course.
Rivers Cuomo and the crew will appear on “The Simpsons” this Sunday (May 10). In the show, Weezer’s band members will be the voices for Sailor’s Delight, the house band performing a cruise taken by Homer and Marge.
On top of that, the episode, called “The Hateful Eight Year-Olds,” will offer a premiere of a new Weezer song called “Blue Dream,” which will be part of the group’s upcoming album, “Van Weezer,” due out later this year.
To get fans pumped for the appearance, you can hear Weezer cover of the famed Simpsons theme song now via on YouTube.
“The Simpsons” show is known for bringing in A-list bands and musicians to make guest appearances. In the past, other bands that have guested on the program include Metallica, Aerosmith, The Smashing Pumpkins, The White Stripes, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Fall Out Boy.
The Simpsons episode featuring Weezer will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
