Buckcherry are back in a major way with a new album, single and length upcoming tour roster

The guys of Buckcherry are gearing up to release a new record. The longstanding rock band will unleash their ninth studio album, “Hellbound,” on June 25.

Marti Frederiksen produced the set. That’s significant, since he produced Buckcherry’s popular “Black Butterfly” and and co-wrote one of their highest-charting tracks, “Sorry.” Frederiksen co-wrote most of the new record with frontman Josh Todd and guitarist Stevie D, and the group recorded the set in Nashville, Tennessee, in November of 2020.

Todd spoke with Audio Ink Radio late last year about the new record. In the interview, he explained, “Well, it’s not going to change from a Buckcherry rock record, but all I can say is– we’ve just come leaps and bounds from the first record, as far as songwriting and how we put everything together, just as far as the quality of songs, song to song.”

He added, “It’s just so powerful, and we can’t wait for everybody to hear it. Marti Frederiksen is producing it. He produced a few records of ours back in the day. It’s been really great to be reunited with him, and he’s a super talented guy. It like having a sixth band member. So, it’s been a lot of fun.”

In addition to the album news, Buckcherry have debuted the first video from Hellbound, “So Hott.” Watch the clip, which was directed by KasterTroy and shot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, via YouTube below.

“Hellbound” will mark Buckcherry’s first release on their new label partners, Round Hill Records in North America, Earache Records in the UK, Europe, and Australia, and Sony Japan in Japan. For pre-order information, head to Buckcherry.com.

With live shows starting to pick up again, Buckcherry have major touring plans potted for the rest of 2021 and into 2022. The band will kick off a tour on June 1 Kansas City, Missouri, and remain on the road through a Nov. 10 date in Jacksonville, North Carolina. View the band’s full roster of tour dates below.
