Styx and Collective Soul Announce Summer U.S. Tour Dates
Styx and Collective Soul are among the first rock bands to start touring on a national scale again, and the acts have announced a short summer U.S. tour
Touring on a major scale hasn’t been a reality for the past year, due to the ongoing pandemic, but with vaccinations happening at record speeds, musicians are gearing up to once again hit the road. Now, the members of Styx and Collective Soul are dusting off their live gear and have announced a short U.S. tour for this summer.
The seven-date tour will set off June 18 in Alpharetta, Georgia, and run through a June 27 concert in Oklahoma City. Among the other states the bands are hitting include Kansas, Mississippi and Missouri. Moreover, before the tour kicks off, Styx has a shot June 16 in St. Augustine, Florida.
Tickets for the tour go on sale today (April 23), expect for tickets for the St. Augustine show and Styx, Collective Soul tour date June 20 in Brandon, Mississippi, which be on sale beginning April 30.
“We are thrilled by the news that Styx will be hitting the road with our friends Collective Soul,” Tommy Shaw of Styx said in a statement. “After all this time off, (whew!) and now to get together with this masterful band of storytelling troubadours, we can’t wait to see you all again live and in person, performing an evening of music we love.”
Collective Soul frontman Ed Roland added, “Not only is it great to get back to live music and see our fans, family, and friends; but to experience it with a great band like Styx, It’s awesome! Let’s Rock!”
Styx also recently added a Sept. 24 date to their Sept. 25 and 26 stint at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, following the first two selling out. Tickets for the new date go on sale to the general public today (April 23) at 10 a.m. PT.
