Collective Soul and Switchfoot are teaming up for a lengthy co-headlining U.S. tour this summer. The trek sets off July 15 in Gary, Indiana, and closes out Sept. 24 in San Antonio, Texas.

“It’s always a thrill to go on tour, but this year is going to be so special because we get to be with not only our friends but a great band, Switchfoot!” Collective Soul frontman Ed Roland said in a press release. “Southern boys meet Southern California boys, which will be a fun time for all!”

It’s a match maid in rock ‘n’ roll heaven, according to Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman. He stated, “Been fans of Collective Soul and their songs from day one. Can’t believe it took this long for us to finally tour together. Psyched it’s finally happening!”

Collective Soul are touring in support of their latest album, 2019’s “Blood.” In addition to the new tunes, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the popular ’90s alternative band.

Switchfoot also been making music for decades, with their biggest hits including “Meant to Live,” “Dare You to Move” and “Dark Horses.” They’ll touring behind their 2021 release, “Interrobang.”
