Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss has joined forces with Disturbed frontman David Draiman for a new song, “Dead Inside”

Alice Cooper lead guitarist Nita Strauss has premiered the music video for her new solo song, “Dead Inside,” featuring vocals from Disturbed frontman David Draiman. Strauss is known for his instrumental solo music, so it’s unique to have a solo track from her featuring vocals.

“This is my first time releasing my own music with a vocalist, and I am so honored to take this step alongside a legend like David Draiman,” Strauss said in a statement. “David’s voice and powerful lyrics took this song to a level I could never have imagined! And we are so excited to unleash this song on the world.”

Draiman also commented on the collaborative effort, stating, “Serendipity can be really cool. We’ve been friends for years. Nita sent me the track… I didn’t have time to work on it right away… then in literally a couple of days, while killing time in Santa Monica, the whole thing just came together. Incredibly proud of how it turned out and honored to be a part of it.”

Strauss released instrumental debut solo album, “Controlled Chaos,” in 2018. No word yet on whether “Dead Inside” will appear on an upcoming full-length album from Strauss, but the song comes ahead of her just-announced “Winter Wasteland” solo tour of venues throughout the U.S. Strauss’ upcoming tour is set to take place from Nov. 10 through Dec. 18, shortly after she wraps up tour dates with Alice Cooper.

The music video for “Dead Inside” features both Strauss and Draiman performing the song together. Watch the video below. To view Strauss’ upcoming “Winter Wasteland” tour dates, go here.
