Congratulations are in order for Five Finger Death Punch, as the band just broke a rock chart record

Five Finger Death Punch have a knack for churning out No. 1 hits, and their latest in “Times Like These,” the most recent single off their “AfterLife” album. According to Billboard, the song is the band’s ninth straight No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. Their first No. 1 happened back in 2018 with “Sham Pain” off the band’s “And Justice for None” album.

Other No. 1 hits from Five Finger Death Punch include “When the Seasons Change” and their cover of Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s “Blue on Black” from the “And Justice for None” record, as well as “Inside Out,” “Living the Dream,” “A Little Bit Off” and “Darkness Settles In” from the “F8” album and now the title track and “Times Like These” off the new “AfterLife” record.

Those are the nine consecutive chart-toppers, but the guys have other No. 1 hits, too. They also reached the top of teh chart with their singles “Coming Down,” “Lift Me Up,” “Battle Born” and “Wash It All Away.” In total, that mean Five Finger Death Punch has 13 No. 1s on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart. The guys are taking all of those hits on their current tour with Megadeth, which is hitting amphitheater venues across North America this fall.

That’s very impressive, but it’s worth nothing that Shinedown currently has the record for most No. 1’s on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, counting 18 chart-toppers. Shinedown’s latest No. 1 is “Daylight” off their new “Planet Zero” record. When looking at the consecutive No. 1 hits for Shinedown, the band has eight straight chart-toppers, so one less than Five Finger Death Punch.

Three Days Grace is the other rock band that is close to Shinedown for the record of the most No. 1s. Three Days Grace currently have 17 No. 1 hits on the Mainstream Rock Chart, their latest being “Lifetime” off their “Explosions” album, which arrived this year.
