Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper Announce 2024 Tour with Ministry and Filter

Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper had an amazing run together last fall. That said, it’s not a big surprise that the guys are teaming up for a tour again. Zombie and the Cooper have announced a summer 2024 US tour, and just like last year, Ministry and Filter will open.

Call it another leg of the “Freaks on Parade Tour,” which took place last summer and fall with the same lineup. This year, the tour will set off on Aug. 20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and continue through a Sept. 18 date in Forth Worth, Texas. The roster has 21 shows lined up, and it will mainly hit different cities and venues than the 2023 version.

Rob Zombie is touring on his latest release, “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy,” which arrived back in 2021. Meanwhile, Alice Cooper is out behind his latest solo album, 2023’s “Road.” Side note: Can you believe “Road” was Alice Cooper’s 29th studio album? That guy is prolific.

Alice Cooper also recently announced a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of his gamed 1973 album, “Billion Dollar Babies.” The expanded collection will be available on March 8 digitally and in three-LP and 2-CD physical formats. As for Ministry and Filter, I think it’s great to see these industrial metal bands on this bill. Both Ministry and Filter were such a big part of the genre. While Zombie fits into industrial metal, too, Cooper really doesn’t, so it’s cool to see this mix of acts share the state. Aside from the music, all of these acts’ theatrics certainly go together. Cooper is the originator when it comes to shock-rock. Zombie was groundbreaking for his kind of horror-infused metal music. Both Ministry and Filter have similar wild theatrics, so it should make for a fantastic night of metal.
