Radiohead’s Philip Selway says the band’s new album is ‘coming along nicely’

Radiohead have spent the past few months hard at work on a new album, and things seem to be going well. Drummer Philip Selway says while the recording is “coming along nicely,” it’s going to take some time.

“We worked throughout the autumn up to just before Christmas, and now we’re just taking some time away for other projects,” Selway told U.K. publication “Drowned in Sound.” “We’ll get back to it in March and we’ll make an assessment of where we are then, but we’ve been excited about what we’ve been doing so far.”

He added, “It’s by no means finished yet, so we’ve got a way to go. It’s been a productive time though.”

Selway didn’t give any specifics on when the album will arrive. “I wouldn’t want to start to predict that kind of thing in a Radiohead schedule because you can find yourself six months down the line saying ‘I wish I hadn’t have said that actually!'” he explained.

Radiohead’s upcoming album will mark their follow-up to 2011’s “The King of Limbs.”

Beck added, “You can’t please everybody, man. I still love (West) and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”
