Dave Grohl to Perform at the Oscars

If you watch the Oscars this weekend, you’ll see a familiar rocker on the show
Dave Grohl has accomplished a lot in his rock career, but he has never played the Oscars. Until now. The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer will perform at the Oscars for his first time this weekend.
Grohl is being billed as giving a “special performance” at this year’s Academy Awards, set for Sunday (Feb. 28).
The Oscars will mark Grohl’s second major award-show performance in February. He performed during the Grammy Awards earlier this month, banging the drums with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
Grohl isn’t the only musician schedule to perform at this year’s Academy Awards. The Thirty Seconds to Mars singer took home Best Supporting Actor honors at the 2014 Academy Awards for his role in the movie, “Dallas Buyers Club.”
The 2016 Oscars will air live February 28 on ABC starting at 7 p.m. ET.
