Chris Cornell’s Grammy-nominated box set is now available on limited edition colored vinyl

Chris Cornell’s career-spanning box set, which originally dropped last November, is not available on limited edition colored vinyl. The updated edition of the collection was released exclusively via Cornell’s official website.

The compilation set, appropriately called simply “Chris Cornell,” brings together 88 songs from the talented vocalists’s full catalog, not just Soundgarden tracks. the set features, of course, songs from Soundgarden, but also throws in Temple of the Dog and Audioslave, plus his solo discography. The set also features a bevy of collectibles, such as a 66-page hard cover photo book wrapped in linen with red foil signature, artist lithos, photochromatic lithos, a Chris Cornell wall poster and more.

Also featured on the set is the previously unreleased song “When Bad Does Good,” which picked up the Best Rock Performance at the 2019 Grammys.

This box set has Grammy honors, too. The Chris Cornell collection is up for Best Recording Package at next year’s Grammy Awards, and Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament is among the list of nominees for the collection as an art director.

Cornell passed away in May 2017 of suicide after a performance with Soundgarden at The Fox Theatre in Detroit.
