Def Leppard’s “Volume Three” limited-edition box set will offer there releases on vinyl for the first time

Def Leppard has unveiled new details about the latest offering in their line of limited-edition box sets encompassing the group’s full discography. The new set, called “Def Leppard — Volume Three,” will arrive in June and bring recordings that the band created during the first decade of the 2000s.

“Def Leppard — Volume Three” includes 2002’s “X,” the 2006 covers set “Yeah!” and 2008’s “Songs from the Sparkle Lounge.” The collection, which will arrive as a six-CD or a nine-LP package, will also offer three albums of archival material put together Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott, titled “B-Sides,” “Yeah! Studio Covers” and “Yeah! Live.”

Both the CD and LP versions of “Def Leppard — Volume Three” will also pack a hard-backed, collector’s book with notes and special photos. All of Def Leppard’s band members – Elliott, bass player Rick Savage, drummer Rick Allen and guitarist Phil Collen – contributed to the set.

Those who opt for the vinyl version of the box set will also score “X,” “Yeah!” and “Songs from the Sparkle Lounge” on vinyl for the first time, as those released never made it onto wax. Elliott and co-producer Ronan McHugh contributed new mastering to the records.

“Def Leppard – Volume Three” will arrive June 11. The packages are currently available for pre-order.

In other news, Def Leppard recently launched “The Def Leppard Vault,” offering an archive of Def Leppard material that will continue to grow with historical content such as interviews, photographs, videos and more. The site, LeppardVault.com, is updated on a regular basis with new content honoring Def Leppard from the past, present and future, such as rare interviews, photos, video, audio and more.
