Check out videos of Evanescence performing ‘Made of Stone’ and ‘The Other Side’

Hard rock goddess Amy Lee and Evanescence performed a high-octane rendition of “Made of Stone” on late-night TV’s “Conan” Thursday (Feb. 2) and followed it up with a special, web-only performance of “The Other Side.” Both songs come off Evanescence’s 2011, self-titled full-length. Check out both dynamic clips below, and happy rocking, kids!

In other Evanescence news, Lee has been picked as the heir of the Luella Bennack award at United Cerebral Palsy’s 11th annual Women Who Care luncheon on Thursday, May 3, at Cipriani in Manhattan. The annual Women Who Care luncheon is in honor of women who have “broken glass ceilings” and inspired other women through their professional and charitable works. Lee certainly falls into that category. The awards were initiated in honor of Luella Bennack, who dedicated over 20 years of her life to helping disadvantaged children and adults living with cerebral palsy.

The United Cerebral Palsy of New York City says the committee selected Lee for the award specifically “for her commitment to bring attention to issues of education and personal dignity of people living with a disability by serving as the international spokesperson for Out Of the Shadows. Also, the message and integrity of Amy Lee’s music has undeniably healed, inspired and transformed millions of women worldwide.” They added that “because of her personal pledge to making life more accessible and understood by everyone, we cannot conceive of a more interesting, motivated and deserving individual to honor on Luella’s behalf.” Congratulations to Mrs. Lee.
