Supergroup Adrenaline Mob map out 2012 spring tour dates

Heavy metal supergroup Adrenaline Mob are hitting the road! Drummer Mike Portnoy, singer Russell Allen, lead guitarist Mike Orlando and bass player John Moyer have booked a handful of tour dates set for this May that take the guys through clubs and theaters throughout North America.

The band are on the road in support of their debut full-length, “Omerta,” which arrived in March. The hike sets off May 10 at the House of Blues in Cleveland and will travel through Chicago, Dallas, Flint, Mich., and more before wrapping May 22 at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte, N.C. For more information, head to the band’s official site.

On “Omerta,” Adrenaline Mob called on rock chick Lzzy Hale of Halestormto lend her spicy vocals to a cover of Duran Duran’s hit, “Come Undone.” Portney recently told Audio Ink Radio he and Hale go way back, which is why he thought of her for the track. “She’s somebody I’m friends with from touring together on Uproar a few years back,” Portnoy exclusively told Audio Ink Radio. “Lzzy and I became good friends, and when the idea for a female vocalist came up for ‘Come Undone,’ I knew she would absolutely kill it! So, I her gave call, and it was the same situation as with John, without even hearing it, she was on board because she wanted to do something with me. Once she heard the tune, she was like, ‘This is awesome. This is going to be great!’” For Portnoy’s recent interview on his other band, Flying Colors, check out Portnoy’s artist page.(Photo credit: Kellie Hoeke / Elm City Music.)
