Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Tom Morello to Appear on John Fogerty’s ‘Wrote a Song for Everyone’
New John Fogerty album will feature collaborations with Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Rise Against and more
John Fogerty’s upcoming collaborative release, “Wrote a Song for Everyone,” is set to feature a wide range of musical talent. Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and My Morning Jacket have all signed on to appear on the album, which is due to arrive on May 28. The release will pack 14 tracks, and fans of Creedence Clearwater Revival will find much to like, as most of the songs are new takes on famous Creedence Clearwater Revival songs penned by Fogerty and reworked with the new musicians.
Guests on the album cover a wide range of genres, from country to rap-rock to R&B. A few key contributors include Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Bob Seger, Jennifer Hudson, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band. In addition to the revamped Creedence Clearwater Revival tracks, the release also includes two fresh solo songs from Fogerty.
Those who pre-order “Wrote a Song for Everyone” will score an instant download of one of “Born on the Bayou” featuring Detroit rocker Kid Rock, which appears on the album and premiered Sunday during the Super Bowl XLVII program. The album is currently available for pre-order via Amazon.com and iTunes.
