Foster the People will release their sophomore album, ‘Supermodel,’ on March 18

Alternative pop-rockers Foster the People have announced they’ll release their sophomore studio album, “Supermodel,” on March 18. The new album will offer 11 songs, all of which were recorded at different places around the world.

As frontman Mark Foster explains, the band recorded the new album in a freewheeling sort of way. “We didn’t have any rules,” Foster said in a statement. “We just created as much as we could in seven days. And in the spirit of wanderlust and discovery we ended up stumbling on the musical identity of what this record was going to feel like.”

Foster the People have posted the upcoming album’s debut single, “Coming of Age,” on their official website to give fans a taste of the upcoming tunes. Those who pre-order “Supermodel” via select digital retailers will also receive an immediate download of “Coming of Age.”

“Supermodel” is Foster the People’s follow-up to 2011 smash “Torches,” which spawned a No. 1 radio hit in the single “Pumped up Kicks.”

Foster the People ‘Supermodel’ Track List:

“Are You What You Want to Be”
“Ask Yourself”
“Coming of Age”
“Nevermind”
“Pseudologia Fantastica”
“The Angelic Welcome of Mr. Jones”
“Best Friend”
“A Beginner’s Guide to Destroying the Moon”
